Beach – The beach is actually a carved inlet bordered by natural rock and coral formations, inlaid with rich Caribbean white sand.
Golf – Check into the golf specials at booking time! Enjoy golf at The Golf Club at Playacar, The Golf Club at Moon Palace, and The Golf Club at Riviera Maya. Tee times may be reserved prior to arrival.
Pools – There is a varied array of pools at this resort, including outdoor free-style pools, indoor pools, an indoor liquid sound pool, a cross-current pool, and a lap pool. There is also a dive tank on site for diving beginners to learn in. So whether you want to relax, get a good workout, or just lounge around, there’s a pool to fit your mood!
Water Sports – Enjoy kayaking and snorkeling on-site. Other non-motorized and motorized ($) water sport available at the Moon Palace.
Fitness Center – The gym is fully-equipped with cardiovascular machines, weight machines, and free weights. There are even organized fitness classes. Classes include spinning, Tae-Bo and step kickboxing, yoga, and meditation. Also offered are step classes, Flex-A-Ball toning classes, muscle training classes, and salsa Latin workout.
Exploration and Site seeing – There are several Mayan ruins and exploration opportunities in the region. Site seeing venues offer vacationers several options: Xcaret with its underground rivers, diving, snorkeling, and coral reefs; the natural aquariums at Xel-Ha; the ancient Mayan port of Tulum containing many curious buildings; the villages and cities of Puerto Morelos, San Miguel, Playa del Carmen, and Cancun. Bicycles can be rented in some of these areas. Some tours and excursions are included in the all-inclusive package. Optional tours not included but available for additional charge are Cozumel, jungle tour, Xcaret, bull fights, horseback riding, Lobster Dinner Cruise, and swim with dolphins.
Entertainment – Enjoy live entertainment, nightly shows, and dancing and a variety of shows performed nightly. The bars at the resort feature live music most nights.
Shopping – Shopping is always a fun experience in this part of Mexico. You’ll find products and services in duty free shops, jewelry boutiques, fine gifts store, and logo and sundries shops. Shop for Mexican handicrafts, hammocks, silver, clothing, shoes, black coral products, and much more!
Diving & Snorkeling – The nearby coastal waters of Cozumel have remarkable clarity, and the waters are alive with colorful coral and many species of marine life. Dive masters allow you and other divers to choose your reef, depending on your experience level. Novices will enjoy Paradise Reef for the many shallow patch reefs, large brain coral, sea fans and sponges. Intermediate divers may try Palancar Caves or Columbia Wall and encounter big grouper, playful green moray eels, eagle rays and turtles. For the very experienced, Maracaibo Deep and Barracuda Reef are as alluring as they are challenging, where giant orange elephant ear sponges, black coral, large schools of fish, turtles, rays, and even hammerhead sharks may be spotted. Excellent snorkeling is available in many locations, even very close to the hotel itself.
Deep Sea Fishing – Plan a fishing trip to nearby Cozumel Island, which boasts some of the best fishing anywhere. Several fishing excursions are available, depending on what you are fishing for. Crews can filet and package your catch to take home. Excursions include fishing equipment, tackle, bait, snacks, refreshments, and pick up and drop off.
Beauty Salon – Full-service beauty salon on site which offers a variety of treatments such as haircuts, nails, color, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and facials.
Other Activities – There is a myriad of activities including ping pong (table tennis), billiards, darts, bicycles, roller blades, dance lessons, cooking and cocktail lessons, volleyball court, table games, basketball, and board games.
